Chen Lin, Ph.D.

Dr. Chen Lin is an MRI physicist and Assistant Professor for the Department of Radiology, IU School of Medicine. One of his primary responsibilities is to provide physics expertise to physicians to improve the quality of clinical MRI through pulse sequence design, protocol optimization and image post-processing development at Clarian Health Partners. His own research focuses on the investigation of new methods development to enhance tissue contrast, minimize image artifacts, reduce imaging time, and RF absorption new MRI techniques to improve image quality and reduce scan time; the development of advanced clinical applications such as high resolution 3D imaging, MR angiography, diffusion/perfusion imaging and spectroscopic imaging; and the exploration of new techniques and procedures for equipment evaluation and quality assurance.
